sedcat provides a much loved and valued service for the local community. Our services are a lifeline to frail elderly, disabled and isolated people, giving them low cost fully accessible door to door transport to get out and about, enjoying life and making friends.  There are many ways you can help support us to continue our much need services either through donations or volunteering.

Help us continue to provide accessible community transport services to vulnerable people who – without sedcat – are at risk of being socially excluded from society.

Why Should I Help?

If people are able to get out of their homes from time to time, they have access to a wide range of social and leisure facilities. This helps them stay happier and healthier.  Supporting people to maintain their independence and live in their own homes for longer means that the savings to the Public purse can be considerable.

While we receive some funding through local agencies, sedcat and those vulnerable people we support, are reliant on donations as well as the time our volunteers give us to keep us going.  We need your help to keep these low cost ‘not for profit’ services going for many more years as well as developing new services when gaps in local provision are identified.

Help us act as a local voice on behalf of users, community groups and others requiring accessible transport and give people transport to enjoy an active and inclusive life avoiding isolation and loneliness in older age.

How Can I Help?

Make a donation

For many people, using public transport can be difficult, if not impossible, especially for our more vulnerable service users.  We would be unable to continue operating all of our services without the valuable donations from our members, the community, local businesses and project partners.

Your donation really does make a difference to us, no matter how big or small it may be.  And if you are a taxpayer, we can claim back 25p on your donation through the Gift Aid scheme.

We would also like to thank all those who have donated, and continue to regularly donate to us, for your generosity and support.
